Early in 2020, as we were adapting to the many changes and challenges that came with the pandemic, our team worked tirelessly to establish a new operation that focused on food insecure groups in the Greater Vancouver Area. We re-imagined a fresh meal delivery solution that was safe yet affordable, without compromising on taste or quality.

This development allowed our team to offer more people healthy and warm food, an essential basic necessity, during COVID-19 – and we couldn’t have done this alone. We feel tremendous gratitude towards our incredibly supportive partners, sponsors, and customers as we continue to do this every day.

About Fuel Up

‘Fuel Up’ by Simply is a turnkey hot lunch program tailored for school districts, PACs, and similar institutions to ensure our children are provided fresh and nutritious meals every school day. From the Fuel Up website, parents and administrators can order from a wide range of entrees, sides, and beverages — from days to a month in advance.

We launched this school lunch program in 2019 with our school district partners to achieve an important goal: to ensure that no child is hungry and every child eats healthy.

Our chefs can also prepare a variety of fun and healthy options to cater to different dietary restrictions and preferences. All meals are made from scratch in-house, individually portioned, then delivered hot to your school before lunch time.

Student Subsidy Program:
No child goes to school hungry

Fuel Up is a program that gives back. A portion from each meal ordered supports a subsidy for a child who otherwise might not have a lunch to eat. School districts have the option to implement a subsidy program, offering partial to full coverage for student meal costs. These meals are individually packaged and are made fresh from scratch and in-house, Subsidized and unsubsidized meals are made and packaged exactly the same to reduce stigmatization.

We have partnered with Burnaby Community Services to regularly provide nourishing and authentic Chinese meals for their independent living patrons. This inspiring program delivers more than 30 meals per day supporting seniors, caregivers, and others at risk of isolation.

Our fruitful partnership with CareBC has opened doors for us to serve those previously outside our network – most of whom are homebound senior clients in Richmond and Vancouver who depend on CareBC’s strong team of multi-lingual volunteers and social support workers.

Simply Foods offers home ordering and meal delivery options for seniors straight from our website. Our Senior’s Menu includes delightful foods that meet the nutritional guidelines for seniors, with special considerations such as low sugar, low sodium, diabetic-friendly, and
soft palate options.

Choose from a variety of fresh and frozen options. Just like everything else, our Senior’s Menu is made with fresh and nutritious ingredients. Packages are delivered frozen for maximum convenience. All you’ll have to do is heat and eat!
